Terms of service
Using SnibGuide means agreeing to what follows. It is written to be read, so it is short.
Last updated 20 August 2026
What the service does
SnibGuide measures drives you choose, repeatedly, over weeks, and shows you what it found: when a route is usually fastest, whether right now is unusual, and whether waiting is likely to help. It is a record of past measurements and a reading of them. It is not a navigation app and it does not give directions.
Accuracy, and what this is not for
Every figure comes from traffic estimates supplied by a third party, sampled at intervals. Estimates are wrong sometimes, roads close without warning, and a measurement taken twenty minutes ago is not a promise about the next twenty. Treat everything here as informational.
Do not rely on SnibGuide for anything where being wrong matters — emergency travel, medical appointments, catching a flight, or any decision with a cost you are not willing to bear. No responsibility is accepted for a journey that took longer than the app suggested it might.
Your account
You need a working email address, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Sign-in codes are sent to that address, so keep access to it. One account is for one person; do not share it. You must be at least 16.
Subscription and payment
- A subscription covers 2 routes and everything the product does with them.
- New accounts get 3 days free. A card is taken up front and charged when those days end, unless you cancel first.
- It renews monthly until cancelled. Prices may change, and you will be told before a change applies to you.
- Cancel whenever you like. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not charged again. Part-months are not refunded, because the service was available throughout them.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details never reach SnibGuide.
What happens if you stop paying
Nothing is deleted. Every reading you collected stays, and stays readable — those measurements cannot be taken again, so they are not ours to throw away. What stops is the measuring: your routes go quiet, no new readings arrive, and you cannot add a route until a subscription is active again.
Fair use
Do not:
- Try to work around the route limit, or automate account creation.
- Resell or redistribute the readings as a data product.
- Use the service to monitor someone else’s movements. Track roads, not people.
- Attack, overload or probe the service, or attempt to reach data that is not yours.
An account may be suspended or closed for any of these.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. Measurement depends on services outside our control, and a spell of downtime means a gap in your history rather than a refund. Best effort is made, and gaps are visible in the charts rather than hidden.
Your data
Your routes and readings are yours. Export them as CSV whenever you want, and delete them whenever you want. What is done with them meanwhile is set out in the privacy policy.
Ending it
Cancel or delete your account at any time, for any reason, without explanation. Service may be withdrawn if these terms are broken, or with reasonable notice if the product is discontinued — in which case you will be given time to export what you have collected.
Liability
SnibGuide is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
These terms may change. The date above changes with them, and account holders are emailed about anything material before it takes effect.
